MINOR DWELLING PACKS A MAJOR KITCHEN PUNCH
The Opportunity
Building a new minor dwelling on an existing rural property. Clean and modern plywood clad architectural home with custom plywood kitchen. A wall-length benchtop unit and bench level extraction system plus overhead shelving and storage.
The Action
This tricky design required much research and a full day of designing to ensure the complex kitchen benchtop could incorporate everything required including:
- Concealed downdraft extractor fan
- Gas cooktop
- Electric benchtop
- Shelving and cabinetry
Once they knew the design could be achieved, Kingpost had to set about making it a reality that fits perfectly in the tricky space.
Complex in terms of the placement of electronic elements Joey made the benchtop unit design a perfect fit and then continued on with the relatively straightforward kitchen and laundry.
The Result
The owners are thrilled with the solution and immensely grateful Kingpost Timberworks could make it happen despite a restrictive build budget overall.
