I have been working away on this internal door set that will separate a media room from the rest of the house. At 2.5m tall I have used laminated 58mm square stock sapele, this will be ebonised. I went away for a week with the family and left this in my screw press.... It turned out perfectly. 2mm shop sawn veneer,24 bookmatched segments in Cherry for the lazy Susan part of the Hex table. #furnituremaker #diningtable #lazysusan #madeinnz #nz

Because I'm going to dig a giant hole in the table top to accept the lazy Susan, I'm adding this thickener to the underside of the table top. I have also carved out a nice pocket for the steel ring that connects the legs to the top. #furnituremaker #customtable #diningtable #madeinnz #nz

I merged a few ideas into one object here, I wanted to make a jewellery "box" for my wife's birthday but with the challenge of no box! Another oversize barn door went in today. At 2m wide and 2.2m tall you have to really think about the weight of the door, not only on the track but for ease of use too. Finished up this wall hung vanity today. Shop sawn oak veneer with infrared LED light switch hidden the veneer. Push open drawers with dovetailed strong backs to help keep the fronts flat and a classic polyurethane finish. Now I just have to wait for the house it's going in, to be finished....
